Friends, as we come up on our one-year blogiversary we have reflected on where we started and where God has brought this little blog of ours! Guys! God is so stinking good, isn’t He?!?!
We are so humbled by where Little Light is going and all of the things God is doing here!
We have SO many new and exciting things coming and we seriously can’t wait to share with you everything that is happening in our little corner of the blogosphere. As we grow, we are continuously learning how to create a better space for you, our readers and friends. You’ll hear more about those things in the weeks to come so be on the lookout for a Blog Update post of sorts!
There will be a couple of tweaks to better meet the needs of our growing blog. One of those tweaks will be the format of our emails! So, if you’re a current subscriber and you get our posts straight to your email, you’ll notice the look of the email and the format will be new (and so purdy!) in the next week or so!
While we believe this change will be a huge improvement for our subscribers, the initial transition might cause our emails to be delivered to your spam or promotions folder. After hours and hours of research trying to figure out a way to avoid this from happening, we have learned that Google is king and we are all at the mercy of its algorithms.
A couple of things that you can do to make sure that you continue to get our posts is to add us to your email contacts! You can also keep an eye on your “promotions” or “spam” folders and just move us back into the inbox folder. (One easy way Gmail users can do this is by clicking on the star.) This just lets your email know that we aren’t spam and you actually want to read our emails.
We are so confident that this new format will be so beneficial to y’all so you’ll have to let us know how you like it!
We are so thankful for each and every one of you that have consistently come back to join us here, who have read and commented, who have shared and supported us. Truly, y’all mean the world to us and we are so grateful for you!
In other news…While we normally post on Thursdays, we will be taking this Thursday off to spend Thanksgiving with our families. We pray for each of you and that God will continue to move in your lives and in the lives of your families.
Thanksgiving is such a great time to praise God for the things He is doing in our lives. While we don’t always have to be thankful FOR the things we are going through, we do need to be thankful IN all things (1 Thess 5:8). Praise Him for who He is and all He will bring you through.
Be filled with peace this Thanksgiving because our Father is sovereign in all things and gives us joy not only in times of happiness and celebration but also in times of trial and growth.
We hope this Thanksgiving is full of His joy and peace for each of you!
